Ukrainian plane crash: President Zelensky makes 5 demands from Iran
President Volodymyr Zelensky has tabled down five demands from the the Iranian government following its admittance of shooting the Ukrainian plane that crashed on Wednesday.
The plane conveying 176 passengers onboard crashed killing the entire passengers after leaving Terhan, a major city in Iran.
The plane crashed few hours after the Islamic Republic of Iran sent 12 ballistic missiles into the United States military base in Iraq in retaliation of the US killing of top military general Qassem Soleimani.
After initial denials, the government of Iran on Saturday morning agreed its military shot the Ukrainian plane that crashed, killing its entire passengers onboard.
With the confession of Iran, there have been worldwide condemnations over the action of Iran.
But the government of Ukraine is not taking it lightly with Iran nor is it only interested in condemnation but it has placed demands on Iran to appease its people.
In a statement obtained by Vanguard Newspapers, President Zelensky demanded for Iran's willingness for full and open investigation, bringing those responsible for shooting the plane to justice, returning dead bodies from the crashed plane, payment of full compensation and official apologies through diplomatic channels.
As it is now Iran is in a fix as to the response it will give to the Ukrainian government, though the statement did not state timeline for the response from Iran.
