I raped and tried to kill my ex for dumping me after she graduated- shoemaker

Babayemi olamide, a 25 year old shoe maker was arrested for raping and attempting to murder 22 year old microbiology graduate.

The victim went to redeemed camp police station and explainedthat she gave Mr olamide the sum of 18,000 to buy a handset for her. She explained further that the suspect neither bought the phone nor refunded her money suddenly called her after a long time to come get her phone at Greenland Estate Mowe.

She reported that on getting there, he forcefully took of her clothes and had his way with her after which he used his phone to take videos of her in the nude and sent to his friends.

He was about to strangle her when his mother called him on phone to come meet her at the gate. This gave the victim an opportunity to run for her life.

It was at this point she went to the police station to make a report.

Mr Olamide was arrested and eventually confessed to the crime stating he did it because she dumped him after graduating.

And he recorded her in the nude as leverage so she wouldnt report him to the police.
