FOUR NIGERIANS CAUGHT FOR ATTEMPTING TO HIJACK A SHIP IN UK.


Four Nigerian stowaways have been jail for the period of seven years by a court in United kingdom for the charges of attempting to hijack a cargo ship carrying containers and threatening of the ship's crew members.

The identified convicts who were jailed after 8 weeks of trial, were identified as Samuel Jolumi, 27, Ishola Sunday, 28, Toheeb Popoola, 27, and Joberto McGee, 20.

Authorities were alerted by crew members who locked themselves on the bridge to protect themselves also filmed the men making "cut-throat" gestures, threatening them. The ship member were rescued and the hijackers Arrested after a Royal Marines Special Boat Service (SBS) were sent in by helicopter to rescue the crewmembers.

McGee, accused of being as the hijackers leader received a jail sentence of 32 months, Popoola was sentenced to 31 months.
