Here is what happened at Naira Marley's 'MarlianFest' in Lagos


30th of December 2019, is a confirmed date for Marlian Fest by the king of Marlian Republic himself Naira Marley. The much-anticipated event took place on the 30th of December 2019, in Lagos at the Eko Convention center, Eko Hotel, Victoria Island. Naira Marley confirmed on Twitter few days ago that Regular or Standing Tickets have were sold out.

According to eye-witness reports, it was a sold-out show that came to see the Nigerian rapper whose street credibility and fanbase seems to grow by the week. This followed the release of, 'Lord of Lamba' his much anticipated EP of 2019. The event was a huge success and had some of the biggest Artistes in Nigeria in a attendance. Marley thrilled the audience with his famed 'Zankush' dance and the crowd went gaga immediately the DJ played his latest banger off the LOL EP - Tesumole.

However, the low point of the event was when a Twitter influencer shared the news on Twitter of how the Nigerian Police harrassed Marlians who came for the Marlian Fest and locked them up inside a black vehicle. He tagged Naira Marley to his tweet and begged him to intervene and save his Marlians.

One of them was heard crying and saying “Sir Sir”.

It must be noted that, after the midnight, the Nigerian Police began to arrest a sect Naira Marley fans. Some Marlians complain of been arrested wrongfully.

We could recall, Marlians who refused to buy tickets for Marlian fest 2019, were seen jumping over the fence at Eko hotel.

The reason behind the arrest has not yet been ascertained, but from the video which went viral, some of the victims were heard crying and pleading to be released. One of them was heard crying and saying “Sir Sir”.
